In the end I don’t think this book was a complete waste of time for me. Trivia About Ashes in the Wind. Rereading it as an adult I was wondering if it was going to be as good as I remembered, and while it wandered far afield, but at over pages you have room for a story to stretch time and space, it woodwiiss entertaining.
She is saved from them by a young Yankee surgeon, Captain Woodlwiss Latimer from Minnesota, a man of honor and great medical talent who is respectful of Southerners. Essentially, the romance handicaps them from thinking and acting logically, especially Cole.

I have since read ashed of Kathleen Woodiwiss’s books but this is by far one of her best! I’m only giving this book 2. Woodiwiss’s final literary work, the upcoming Everlasing, will be published by William Morrow in October But I didn’t mind the writing style as much as I thought I would. Cole has her right then and there while Alaina feverishly returns his passion.
