In a religion like Buddhism, if you took away the miracles attributed to Gautama Buddha in some very late sources, there would be no loss; in fact, the religion would get on very much better without them because in that case the miracles largely contradict the teaching.
He has taken hold of our nature, and in His life He has recreated our existence. This is great reading for anyone who loves bite-sized bits of spiritual insight from one of the greatest Christian thinkers of the last century. Whether one agrees or not, he always offers something new to consider. Just as every natural event exhibits the total character of the natural universe at a particular point and space of time; so every miracle exhibits the character of the Incarnation.

I read it because I wanted to hear what C. The Grand Miracle 4. One has the picture of a strong man stooping lower and lower to get Himself underneath some great complicated burden.

If you’ve read no Lewis, this lewks be as good a place to start as any, although if you are not a Christian, I suggest you begin with Mere Christianity.
Christ did not come as superman, He came as Clark Kent. This book was another excellent example of Lewis’ ability to make very clean, logical arguments in defense of a faith that he came to late in life and on his geand. Therefore, Christ descends into the earth, into the very existence of humanity, and there He bows low in order to raise up with Him a whole new world. Lewis, God in the Dock. Because in that moment, fallen and corrupted humanity was reached.
He wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works lewia to attract thousands of new readers every year. His own search for truth gave him the ability to communicate the key distinctions between Christianity and other religions. He has come, and in His coming He has rescued humanity from the fall of Adam!
